Photo Scavenger Hunt 2025

Meeting point:

We will meet at the Phase IV stage (behind the Lego store). See the maps below for location.

Enter at ground level through entrance 56 or 58 for quickest access.

Start/End time:

The activity will start at 6:30 pm, so be sure to be at the meetup location at that time. We will be at the mall until closing time at 9 pm. Parents who will be picking up their teens: please try to be at the mall at 9.

Photo Scavenger Hunt 2025

Rules:

Starting the game:

The game begins when Bro. Coleton says so. So listen up!

Here are the rules:

  1. No running! Do not run in the mall or in any of the stores. If any person from your team is caught running, your team will lose 100 points.

  2. Be respectful! Treat everyone that you encounter with respect.

  3. Send your photos! All photos for your team must be sent by your team captain. They must text it to Bro. Coleton: (825) 439-6970.

    1. In the first text, please include your name and list of teammates. For example: “Sandra Mendoza, Josh Esguerra, Justine Dino, and Liam Lazalita”

    2. When you send a photo include the name of the photo. For example: “Don’t Become Jonah”

  4. Read the instructions! Photos must contain the amount of team members specified in the instructions. Points will not be awarded if the photo instructions are not followed properly.

  5. Photos count only one time. You may only get points one time per photo.

  6. Bonus points for speed! Your team will get a bonus of 25 points for being the first team to submit a photo.

  7. Keep them separate! Do not combine multiple photo quests into one photo.

  8. Stranger Danger! Do NOT give your phone to a stranger to take the photos.

  9. Leave no trace! If you remove an item from a shelf, place it back where you found it.

  10. Don’t split! Groups are not allowed to split up. The entire group must stay together for the entire event. You must be in eyesight of your team leaders for the entire event. If your team is caught splitting up, your team will be deducted 200 points.

  11. Stay inside! You may not go outside of West Edmonton Mall, (except in the case of emergency).

  12. Do your best! You do not have to take every photo, just as many as you can.

  13. Most points wins! The team earning the most points wins. Have fun and play fair.  Remember, it’s just a game!

  14. The prize for the winning team is a free dipped ice cream cone from Dairy Queen.

End time:

Teams need to meet back before 8:30 pm to the food court in phase 3 on the side nearest the mini-golf course (The food court with Chick-fil-A, nearest the Lego store).

If your team is late returning, 150 points will be deducted from your total team points. If the clock says 8:30, you’re late! Please use an iPhone clock as the official game time.

All of your teammates need to be with you to count as “returned.”

You must check-in with Bro. Coleton by 8:30 pm to be considered “returned”

Envelope Challenges

Rules: Go to the front of the location marked on the outside of the envelope. Don’t go inside of the store unless instructed so in the video. Please film yourself opening the envelopes when you arrive at the location marked on the envelope. Watch the video linked with the QR code inside and follow the video’s instructions. Film yourself doing the challenge.
