This Year’s Conference

Our Theme

Our theme for the 2026 Preachers’ and Workers’ Conference is God’s Blueprint. This year’s theme centers on the unchanging truth of God’s Word as the foundation for life, the home, and the church. Through Christ-centred preaching and teaching, we will focus on building firm spiritual foundations, strengthening families, and encouraging believers to live out their beliefs with obedience, faith, and love.

Who Is This Conference For?

While PWC certainly includes preaching and instruction for pastors, it is not just a pastor’s conference. According to God’s blueprint for the local church, there are two primary responsibilities: pastors and those who labour with them. That includes far more than full-time staff. It provides church members who teach, serve, support, pray, and help carry the load of ministry week after week. For that reason, this conference is truly for every member of the local church.

History of PWC

The Preachers’ and Workers’ Conference began after we hosted a Pastor’s Fellowship in 2021. After that meeting, the Lord placed a burden on my heart to be more intentional about helping and encouraging pastors and church workers on a yearly basis. Out of that burden, PWC was born. As a pastor of more than two decades, I love pastors, and I love local churches. The purpose of this conference is not to impress anyone, but to be a help and an encouragement to God’s people who are faithfully serving Him.

The Conference in a Snapshot

The conference will begin with an evening service on Tuesday, June 2. On Wednesday and Thursday, June 3 and 4, we will have morning, afternoon, and evening services each day. Lunch will be provided for all registered delegates on both days, and there will be a supper break between the afternoon and evening services. During the daytime sessions, we will also offer a variety of breakout meetings, all aimed at giving practical help and encouragement as we seek to follow God’s blueprint in our churches and ministries.

Join Us and Be Encouraged!

We would genuinely love for you to come and be with us for these three days. Ministry can be demanding, and at times lonely, but none of us are meant to serve alone. It would be our honour to open our church to you, to encourage you, and to stand alongside you as fellow servants of Christ. We look forward to gathering around the Word of God together and seeking His direction as we follow God’s blueprint for ministry.

Your Friend,

Pastor Brian Rice

Keynote Speakers

Pastor Alex Ocampo

Pastor Alex Ocampo and his dear wife, Nellie, began their ministry in Batangas in 1995, planting Zion Hill Baptist Church in Cuenca. For more than three decades, they have faithfully served the Lord there, seeking to follow God’s Blueprint in every aspect of their ministry.

Through the years, Pastor Ocampo has trained and discipled men who are now serving the Lord in full-time ministry. The work in Cuenca has grown not only through addition but also through multiplication. As of 2026, six additional missions and churches have been started, each pastored by men trained through the ministry of Zion Hill Baptist Church.

The church continues to maintain a strong outreach into its community through an extensive range of ministries. Most recently, during their anniversary service, the church welcomed over 1,400 first-time visitors, with many trusting Christ for salvation that day.

Pastor Ocampo is not attempting to write his own ministry plan. Instead, he has sought to be obedient to Christ by faithfully following God’s Blueprint, and God has been pleased to bless the work in Batangas in remarkable ways.

Bro. Anthony Collins

Bro. Anthony Collins serves as Vice President of Operations at Hyles-Anderson College, where he has faithfully served for nearly 25 years and has been part of the administrative leadership team since 2003. He and his wife, Christy, have devoted their lives to serving students and fellow labourers, seeking to fulfil their responsibilities with faithfulness and order, according to God’s design. Wherever there is a need or an event on campus, Bro. and Mrs. Collins are often quietly helping behind the scenes.

In his role at the college, Bro. Collins oversees several key departments, including Music, Student Activities, Summer Tour, Marketing, Media, and Student Recruitment. Through these varied responsibilities, he works to strengthen the whole by faithfully fulfilling his assigned role, reflecting God’s blueprint for how ministry functions best.

Beyond his responsibilities at the college, Bro. Collins remains actively involved in the local church. He serves as an assistant teacher in an adult Bible class at First Baptist Church and volunteers with the church’s Medical and Security ministry. His life and service reflect a steady commitment to support the work of the local church according to God’s design.
