Quit You Like Men
The world does not need perfect men. There was only ever one perfect man, and that was Jesus. The world needs men who are watching, standing, obeying, and depending on God. There is a great need today, not just for more men, but for men who understand biblical manhood, men who will watch and stand and take responsibility and walk with God. That does not happen by accident. It happens by decision, and even rejecting a decision is itself a decision.
Jesus Christ, the Friend of Sinners
If you're lost and you don't have a relationship with God, there is hope for you in the person of Jesus Christ. And if you are saved, dear Christian, there's also a message for you: there is a fire within our text meant to stir our souls for evangelism. The same Jesus who received sinners then is still the same Jesus who receives sinners today.
Strength Through Self-Control
If God's wisdom works in us from the inside out, then He teaches us that true strength is not displayed in domination, but in disciplined obedience. We have to have that self-control. Would you ask the Lord to show you one area of your life that you need to focus on in this matter of self-control?
God's Blueprint for Strength Before Expansion
God may be at work in your life right now building the foundation, deepening your faith, and strengthening you to carry more. He can see what is ahead - even when we cannot. Strength always precedes expansion. God builds capacity before He builds growth. May we follow His blueprint, trusting that every act of faithfulness today is preparation for whatever He has for us tomorrow.
